Final Reflection

Image
30A- FINAL REFLECTION This is the final post and I'm thankful for the experience that I've gained from this class. I won't say that there is moment that I'll remember the most out of all the others but it was just the overall class that will leave an impact on me. I don't see myself as an entrepreneur since taking this class, but I will admit that I now understand what it takes to become one. I probably will not become an entrepreneur, but I think I can go into the mindset of one and make decisions that an entrepreneur won't make. For upcoming students I would recommend not waiting till the last second to making the post because you won't get the meaning of the lessons since you're rushing to finish the assignment. The best way to finish this class is to just do it to the bitter end.

Venture Concept No. 2

29A- VENTURE CONCEPT NO. 2 EAG: Embrace Agriculture Opportunity: There is a numerous amount of citizens who are misinformed about agriculture and believe all the misconceptions made about it. Geographically and demographically those who are easily convinced by others. They usually rely on websites and news that gives them myths to believe and they tend to grow up on it so they are pretty loyal to it. The opportunity is decently sized because there are those who want to learn and others how rather stick with what they have. The opportunity will stay as long as there is agriculture. Innovation I plan to start a traveling agriculture teaching program, to teach those who want to know more about the agriculture world. With teachers and experts in the field to teach the sessions at schools or centers and start extension programs if well-received. It is for all ages. It will be based on donations primarily.  Venture Concept The customers will be curious about what th...

Your Exit Strategy

28A- YOUR EXIT STRATEGY 1) Identify the exit strategy you plan to make. Do you intend to sell your business in the next 5 years for a large return? Do you intend to stay with the business for several decades and retire? Do you intend to protect the venture as a family business, and pass it down to your children?  This is if the business is a success: I plan to stay in the business for as long as possible and when I think it's time to move on retire that is when I'll do it. Retiring will probably be the last thing on my mind until I become too old I guess. I haven't really thought about what to do if the business fails. 2) Why have you selected this particular exit strategy? I selected to stay for as long as possible because the economy is changing and it is becoming harder to retire with enough money to live comfortably. I think this is the best exit strategy to chose from and all the other ones don't have a great future in front of them. 3) How do you think yo...

Reading Reflection No. 3

27A- READING REFLECTION NO. 3 Shoe Dog by Phil Knight 1) What I found the most surprising was the fact before Phil Knight founded Nike it was originally called Blue Ribbon. The thing that I admire the most about the entrepreneur is that he knew that being young meant that you make a lot of crazy decision so he encourages it. There was nothing that i didn't admire about the entrepreneur, he put in everything he had to succeed. He started from rock bottom so if he failed there was nothing he could lose. 2) He knew what worked and what didn't. He started at a young age and didn't expect much. He was able to get a partner who believed in him and helped him in area he couldn't do. And he also knew that he couldn't force people to do things the way he wanted it to be, so he let them do what they wanted. All of that lead to his success. 3) I wasn't confused at any part of the book. 4) What gave him the idea of selling shoes from Japan? And where would he be i...

Celebrating Failure

26A- CELEBRATING FAILURE       The failure I'll be talking about now is how I've had to drop Biology 1 this semester. There isn't much details to have in this story. I was taking the class but I was a little too relaxed for how I handled studying. That pretty much became my downfall and now I no longer have Bio in my schedule. I'm not proud of it at all because this is the second class I've dropped and my future is not looking too nice.      I have learned to not relax at all in any of my science class. I need to take every class seriously from now on in the hopes of not failing again.      I don't consciously take these risks, they tend to happen when I least expect it. But ultimately have no one to blame but myself and I've accepted it. My perspective of failure has always been the same: it sucks but you got push past it. I'm never willing to fail but it happens and I'll get over it.

What's Next

25A- WHAT'S NEXT Existing Market What I Think is Next: The next step that I can think for EAG is to go international and connect to other countries. It could help people in other countries understand more agriculture and give a broader scope to the business. Interviews: 1- Information 2- Information 3- Information Reflection: After all the interviews I have conducted it shows that   feedback is a important aspect to have because it shows where I can improve on certain parts of my business. All three interviews lead to the idea of using the different agriculture settings to teach other countries how the food is made there.  New Market I couldn't think of any new markets to build off it. So this section has been left up for debate. Interviews: 1- Information 2- Information Reflection: I did not receive any information from the interviews to reflect about. They could not give me any insight because of my unclear market.
