Venture Concept No. 2
29A- VENTURE CONCEPT NO. 2
EAG: Embrace Agriculture
Opportunity:
- There is a numerous amount of citizens who are misinformed about agriculture and believe all the misconceptions made about it. Geographically and demographically those who are easily convinced by others. They usually rely on websites and news that gives them myths to believe and they tend to grow up on it so they are pretty loyal to it. The opportunity is decently sized because there are those who want to learn and others how rather stick with what they have. The opportunity will stay as long as there is agriculture.
- I plan to start a traveling agriculture teaching program, to teach those who want to know more about the agriculture world. With teachers and experts in the field to teach the sessions at schools or centers and start extension programs if well-received. It is for all ages. It will be based on donations primarily.
Venture Concept
- The customers will be curious about what the programs is about but it will be hard to get them interested because some people are set in the way they think is right. Other agriculture programs in schools, their downfall is that they mainly cater to children. Customer support, customer experience and the location are really important they decide whether the business in success in that area or not. I would crowd source and look for donations to have the funds and the amount of employees will be based on that.
Feedback
The feedback was overall positive, but they also gave some great points on how it is a benefit to use crowd source as a way to support the business. There wasn't any change from my first venture concept post to this one. So to solidify the point that this is the best course of action for my business.
The picture below is what I hope to be one of the many aspects of the company.

Gerielle,
ReplyDeleteI like how concise your venture concept is. I was not able to do that on my post but I think it is better this way because like our "elevator pitches" you only have a little bit of time to impress someone. I think it is smart to be donation-based. I was trying to think of other ways to generate profit because the one problem with donations would be if you were supported by someone with major stakes in the agricultural industry.
